Bath, ME – The Dan Lounsbury Family Office is excited to announce the grand opening of No Coward Soul, a new restaurant in Bath, Maine, founded in partnership with longtime friend and acclaimed restaurateur Johnny Lomba. Both Lounsbury and Lomba, natives of Bath, have teamed up to bring their shared love for Portuguese cuisine back to their hometown, combining family recipes with fresh, local seafood and an innovative menu.

No Coward Soul is rooted in tradition, featuring classic Portuguese dishes that have been passed down through generations. Guests can enjoy signature items such as bacalhau, clams à Bulhão Pato, and other beloved staples, each prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients from Maine’s coastal waters. The menu also highlights the bounty of the region, offering a diverse selection of freshly caught seafood and daily specials.

Building on the Lounsbury Family Office’s previous investment in California’s renowned Central Coast Group Project (CCGP), No Coward Soul will exclusively feature CCGP wines, introducing Bath residents and visitors to the exquisite flavors of California’s Central Coast. By offering these wines at the restaurant and distributing them throughout Maine, Lounsbury is seamlessly blending his passion for fine dining with his strategic investment ventures.

The name No Coward Soul is inspired by Emily Brontë’s poem “No Coward Soul Is Mine,” which expresses an unshakeable belief in the strength and goodness of God, the “ever-present Deity.”  This deep connection to faith and resilience is reflected in the restaurant’s values, offering a space where food, wine, and community come together in a celebration of life.

“We are thrilled to bring a piece of our heritage back to Bath and share it with our community,” said Johnny. “Dan and I have always dreamed of creating something special here, and No Coward Soul is the perfect fusion of our roots, our love of food, and our belief in the importance of family and faith.”
