This facility previously served as the contract manufacturer for Blackhawk Products Group, a renowned name in tactical gear. The move signals a significant expansion for Tacprogear, increasing its product line from 300 SKUs to over 2,000 SKUs across four different colors. Lounsbury and his design team flew to Vietnam, spending several months designing a new product line which will be launched at the SHOT Show in January, 2012.
“After the ATK acquisition of Blackhawk, we saw an opportunity to consolidate our offshore product line with one of the finest manufacturers in the world,” said Lounsbury. “This new partnership will allow us to scale our production and meet the growing demand for our tactical products, all while maintaining the highest standards of quality.”
